St Patrick's in BA

Buenos aires is top 5 cities to celebrate st Patrick's day. With a big parade and a whole street full of Irish pubs my expectations was pretty high.

We missed the parade and it was very hard to get in to a pub. But it didn't matter, with good company and the spirit of Irish and Latinos it's impossible not to have an awesome and crazy night!

Spanish course: done!

After 2 weeks of intense studying, I now have a diploma in Spanish! I really learned a lot during these weeks and starting to be able to have some sort of normal conversations in Spanish. My teacher Alejandro is excellent and so is the school- Instituto de español Rayuela. Now all I have to do is practice, practice, practice by talking Spanish as much as possible. I love learning a new langue! Me gusta hablar español y me encanta Buenos Aires! Ay ay ay!

La bomba de tiempo

like i mentioned earlier, me and some friends from the hostel went to this weekly drum show called La Bomba de Tiempo. It's two acts, with different drums and rhythms. And every week is different because all of it is improvised. It's really nice, the atmosphere is really cool and people just go with the rhythm dancing and clapping. I like it a lot!

Hanging out with punks

Once again, sorry for the lack if updates. But it's so much going on and little time to sit down a write about it.

Anyway, I think a mentioned them before but I've been hanging out with these Argentinian and Colombian guys who's really into skate and rollers. They're cool guys and I fit right in with my passion for street art and punk music. It's really nice to meet people that you have something in common with, not just traveling.
So here's some pics from a day in one of BsAs many skateparks.

A Quick update.

So im back in Buenos Aires. Been hanging around with really nice and cool people. Both travelers and locals. Yesterday two guys from London and me when out to see this drum show they have every monday in this open air concert hall. It was like 15 people with different types of drums banging the hell out of them. It was awesome! I'll tell you more about it later and put some pics up.

Other than that I'm starting Spanish school today. Gonna go a intensive course for 10 days and hopefully it will help me with my Spanish skills.

I'll post some photos and more later, this is all for now.

Chilling at the beach

So I've been in a town called Mar del plata the past couple of days. Just a 5 hour bus drive south of Buenos Aires. It's hot during the day but pretty cold at night. About 25-30 degrees daytime and about 15 at night. All I've been doing is laying on the beach working on my tan and playing in the waves to cool off. It's awesome! But the beaches is very crowded. In the weekends it's hard to find a spot to lay down and people basically stand shoulder to shoulder in the water. But I don't mind, it's way better than being cold and wet from soggy snow 😄

Tattoo session in BA

So I decided to get myself a souvenir from Argentina. Maybe not the one you would expect. Usually it's a cup or t-shirt with "I ❤ Argentina" written on it. That's not my thing. I got a tattoo instead. I went to a place on avenida Santa Fe, called LC INK. The tattoo artists name is Gastón and he made an awesome job! Even tho my Spanish is so bad and Gastón doesn't know any English he understood exactly what I wanted, with colors and everything! I'm soo happy about my new tattoo!
4 hours of pain. A few confused conversations about traveling, football and tattoos. Dripping in sweat since the fan wasn't working and 1000 Argentina Pesos (~1300 SEK) poorer equals one happy and exhausted Swedish girl.
